I stayed at the splendid Anantara resort for a corporate shindig at Koh Samui, an island off the Thailand coast. This spa resort is beautiful and despite the long meetings and late night revelry, I woke up early and plunged in for a swim into the rather chilly waters. Washed my exhaustion and laziness and then had a lovely plunger coffee by the emerald green waters. The Thai do their beaches well. Lot to learn from that. Back and tired as a dog.
The min-numbing business of business travel

Yet another Sunday does a coriolis down the drain as I fly into Singapore for an all day Monday meeting. Who can argue that a Monday morning 9 AM symbolizes the acme of corporate poetic achievement and hence all meetings starting at 9 AM Monday mornings must indeed be auspicious. What about “who_gets_there_and_when?”?? Thus many multiple sundays devoted to the carbon footprints. The stars are all well lined up at the Novotel on Clark Quay facing the Singapore river and adjacent to the Fort Canning where COlonel Raffles came and established a fort – only to realize his guns cant fire too far from there. Yet another mind numbing night with room service and itunes radio for company. Such a waste.
